I wish I could ban Nick from using the term mediocrity. Overplayed. lol it's true though. Look at the teams winning. How many of them got there without tanking it up?

From the new NO Gm perspective its decent. Gives up 1 year for his own picks in 4 straight years, all of which are covered by his extra years. So he can rebuild and tank for 4 years now. This is essentially my logic behind this deal, though I doubt I use all four of those seasons to tank, would be more 2-3, while using a bit of FA.

For me it seems pretty simple. NO, in one season, will have a complete clean slate. To me that's much better than the current situation they're in.

what does that mean? I still count 3. The "Next Hornets 1st" is from a trade back that Kobe failed to complete. I asked for it last second because I didn't trust Kobe. Worked out It's basically his 2056 1st.

They lose Fat Lever...net sitting around and doing nothing for 5 seasons......
Top 5 worst trades I've seen...Its horrilble. Hornets have tons of cap. There are some real value guys out there and some superstars too.
Draft Pressley at 6......Sign Duleavy...throw a max at one of the 5 or so studs in this FA....
This is horrible....I've never seen a trade that is reverse top 3 protection.

Im of the opinion that something better wouldve come from this situation if NO had just tried to acquire more talent.

Sure it is possible, but if we are playing the odds game, it is certainly not in my favor. Also as long as I finish as one of the worst 3 teams which I dont see how that can not happen, the pick goes to ORL regardless of the lottery. As stated in the aforementioned, it is essentially a good-very good player, and one player that can be anywhere from 1-7 for a clean slate with tons of cap room to work with, and five seasons to work with. MUCH better situation then where I was a week ago.

That is why we told repole that there is no way you'd approve this. It was that bad.
