I accept, this is a tough move to make since I like Fat and that pick next season will be great, but it is essentially the only way to fully rectify this mess. FA is a super risk, and the odds of landing someone great is slim to none. By doing this I only sacrifice one full season of sucking, and have at least four seasons to rectify this mess before hitting my CY even.

Hate this for NO btw, but he couldnt be talked out of it. I want him to have some degree of control and Nick wasnt budging. I wish I could ban Nick from using the term mediocrity. Overplayed.

From the new NO Gm perspective its decent. Gives up 1 year for his own picks in 4 straight years, all of which are covered by his extra years. So he can rebuild and tank for 4 years now.
