yeeee. have fun you'll like it.. like 10 mins of your time the first time and after that you'll be able to go from rom to rom in a matter of minutes. The devs at XDA are beasts. I've yet to try out a rom that wasn't significantly better than my phone's stock rom

i've never had an android phone or any phone w/ internet period lol. gonna cop one once my contract is renewable, all this shit going way over my head when you get that phone head over the xda... in a few days you'll know a ton. Hell, head over the xda just before you get a new phone... you can see reviews (pros/cons), learn about any bugs and all that good shit

and how can i make my nexus s better lulz I think the nexus S has an official build of ICS being pushed out no? If that's the case then you don't really need to root you'll be eating good of stock. Anyway, you need to head over to XDA too lol forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=880

Also don't forget to check out youtube for phone reviews and rooting help. Sometimes watching a video works out way better than reading the text

I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT ANY OF THAT MEANS, SO YOU'RE SAYING IT'S BETTER NOT TO ROOT MY PHONE?

Root it once you know what you are doing. If you fuck up, though, you will brick your phone.

It's kind of hard to brick your phone from what I understand.

I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT ANY OF THAT MEANS, SO YOU'RE SAYING IT'S BETTER NOT TO ROOT MY PHONE? just saying that if you can get a stock ICS build then you're all set. ICS in stock form is the best rom out right now. You haven't got any notifications about an update recently? Maybe go into settings -> about phone -> software update?

It's kind of hard to brick your phone from what I understand. Ya. All the warnings and shit are there because it IS possible but it seems to me that the only way to brick is having your phone die while you're going through the initial process of rooting. Phone dying before custom recovery is set = No custom recovery = no way to bring your phone back to life. Once you have that custom recovery your phone is damn near invincible. I've flashed roms and kernels that threw me into endless bootloops due to my phone not being able to handle the undervolting/overclocking properties that these roms/kernels contained and with a quick battery pull and reboot into recovery (holding volume down and power on my phone) I was easily able to fix the problem (by using a new rom or flashing a safer (no pre -UV/OC) kernel

trust me guys this shit is all good. Even if you did somehow fuck up royally there are devs on XDA that will have you up and running in no time
