Pros: Plumlee is a very rangy big man, He can knock down the open outside shot, even potentially out to three point range. Plumlee has superb athleticism, and a large wingspan, making him an effective defender, though he isn’t a great shot blocker. He can rebound pretty solidly as well. Raw, meaning he has pretty good potential. Plumlee has shown potential as a post scorer, with the ability to finish around the hoop.
Cons: Plumlee is definitely a bit wiry, at 6’11 and only 210 pounds, and is therefore easily pushed around in the paint. His lack of strength will always hurt his post game, and will lead him to be stuck more on the perimeter. May be best suited playing small forward in the pros, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Outlook: Plumlee has a long ways to go if he is ever going to be somebody, but, he could probably go late lotto to a team looking for a rangy big man, or a team who feels he could be a Small Forward for them.
