Name: Greg Smith College: Fresno State Class: Sophomore Height: 6-10 Weight: 250 Age: 20 Position: Center Other Positions: Power Forward Ratings: B- D+ D B- C+ B Pros: Greg Smith has an amazing blend of size and strength. He has shown flashes of the ability to dominate the paint. It's scary how well his strength has progressed throughout his career. He is also a very agile a player who will fight for the ball. Defensively he should be a very good post defender. His ability in the post is amazing though. Definitely pro ready on the offensive end. Cons: For all of Smith's pro's, there are as many cons. He is a very raw rebounder, and doesn't look like he will ever dominate the glass for rebounds. Outside of the post, he won't be doing anything. He has no range on his shot, and opponents will use that as an advantage. Defensively he's not a shot blocker, which hurts his value a lot. He also isn't as explosive as most coaches want. He won't jump out of a gym and impress with his athleticism. Overall: Smith seems like an overall good prospect. He has a very good offensive game, but is raw on the other end. He is always willing to work on his game, which is a plus, but he looks like he'll be a solid role player at most. Your looking at him becoming a post scorer off the bench for the most part. Projection: Mid-Late First Best Case Scenario: A- D+ D+ B B B More Likely: A- D+ D C+ B
