Strengths
Jones is very similar to Kenny Boynton in his very limited offensive skill set. What he is good at, he is very good at; this is obviously his inside scoring game. A- for a rookie is absolutely insane, it just sucks he isn't a big man. With Jones you are getting a wing who will probably be productive immediately, due in large part to the number of points he will get inside of the paint. This kid can straight up fly, just check the clip at the end, and that basically summarizes his game. Due to his athleticism, he is also a very good defender. Really, if he gets 3 upgrades and has a good TC, this kid could have two A-'s as a rookie which is pretty sweet.
Weaknesses
Jones' shooting mechanics are everything you teach kids NOT to do. He is absolutely porous in shooting from anywhere, he has a nice touch from anywhere inside the paint, but is lost outside of there. His lack of a jumper is the only thing stopping him from being a superstar immediately, but hey, no rookie is perfect. Being born in 1990, he could scare off quite a few teams, being that he is 22 years old already. Jones is at his best playing off others, similar to a young Shawn Marion (in real life); with the ball in his hands, he is lost. He is more likely to chuck and airball or turn it over than he is to put it in the hoop or set someone else up to.
Overview
For a senior, Jones is still kind of raw. His insane athleticism will allow him to get by at the next level defensively and finishing off dunks set up by others. However, if he wants to take that next step, he needs to become a competent jump shooter, but at C- after 4 years of college, this seems unlikely. With Jones, you know what you are getting, and I wouldn't expect much more. We know he will be an efficient scorer, but hopefully he can become a lockdown defender as well.
