Height: 6'3"
Weight: 183
Birthdate: December 2nd, 1992
Position: PG
College: Kentucky
Draft Ratings: B- C+ B- B C- A
Strengths:
For a PG, Knight has the tools you are looking for. He is athletic, has a good knack for finding players in transition, and can take over the game if need be. His strength is pretty good for a PG, and Knight is quick enough to beat most defenders. His court vision is very good, not to mention his willingness to kick the ball to the open shooter. Knight has all the tools to be a very good defender in the future, but even as a Rookie, look for his defense to be one of his stall wart characteristics. Knight is good at playing the passing lanes, as well as covering his man straight up. Knight has a solid midrange game as well. Another plus for Knight is his potential, he is still young, and his game has a lot of room for improvement.
Weaknesses:
While Knight has the potential to be a very good offensive player, he tends to be more of a volume scorer, requiring a high number of shots to get his points. While Knight has good court vision, there are some questions as to his ability to handle the ball at the next level, considering he has had some turnover issues during his career. Knights range is solid, but, he isnt a great 3 point shooter by any means, and could struggle from BBS distance.
Outlook:
While he will take some time to become a complete player, Knight looks to have all the tools necessary, and should be able to contribute pretty quick. Look for him to go early lotto, with only his potential handling issues holding him back.
