Strength's
Standing 6'11 Moultrie has great height and length for the power forward spot at the college game and should carry that over to the pro level as well. With added strength he could develop into a powerful player around the basket. A quick first step and a good leaping ability draws the idea he could be an Anthony Randolph type player. A better idea might be Jason Thompson however because Moultrie is a face-up player who likes to beat you with a jumper or quick blowby to the basket.
His length plays a nice roll on grabbing rebounds. At the next level he will need to get stronger and if he does he could present a team with a nice player on the glass.
Defensively Moultrie is very talented. His quickness allows him to stay in front of many forwards and could allow him to even cross matchup against some of the better small forwards.
Weakness
Moultrie is simply raw right now. Because of that he will need a lot of work in camps or RCs to get better and become the best player he can be. His outside jump shot is terrible right now and that will limit his scoring and ability to play the SF position on offense.
His lack of overall fundamentals is holding him back from becoming a first round draft pick at this time. Post defense can be an issue as he's very long but also very thin. Not much of a shot blocker.
Scout's Take
Moultrie is a player who could be a boom or bust pick right now. A strong training camp could launch him into the area of being a starting forward or more likely a 6th man off the bench.
He is already a solid inside scorer with solid defensive abilities. Being able to improve on those two areas and shore up his other weaknesses will go a long ways in developing into a solid player at the pro level.
