Pro's: At 6'9, Hayward has a guards game in a forwards body. After an excellent season at Butler, Hayward will come to BBS as a polished prospect with a lot of game. Hayward has a nice shooting stroke, and already has a terrific mid-range game. His range could improve a bit, but he has a mid-range jumpshot that is not often seen coming into this league. While he doesn't dazzle at any other aspect, Gordon is a solid ball handler for his size and capable rebounder.
Con's: The question lingers: how will Hayward be able to play at the next level? He has the size and the shot, but does he have the quickness? That is what Gordon will have to answer in his first few years as a pro. Hayward could use some work on his defense and could refine his post game and three point shot. He also needs to gain some weight.
Overall: Lotto pick. Boom/Bust pick depending on how he develops.
