Postion: PF
Height: 6'6.5" with shoes, 6'5.25" without
Weight: 265
Birthdate: April 22nd, 1989
College: Pittsburgh
Draft Ratings: B D+ C+ C+ A- B
Pros: Blair is a physical player, with an excellent knack for rebounding. He is strong, and not afraid to bang in the paint. Blair's an excellent bench player, a guy who can step in and give you 16 and 12 as a rookie. His wingspan is insane for his height, at an astonishing 7'2 which considering his 6'5" height without shoes is amazing. Blair has nice hands for a Big Man, with a 1 to 1 assist to turnover ratio in college, and a has a decent knack for stealing the ball. Blair very well could be the best offensive rebounder in the league from game 1. He is strong as an ox, and has enough weight that he can push pretty much anybody around.
Cons: The Man literally has no ACL's. After injuries in high school, Blair was left without ACL's in both knees, making him a big time injury worry, and scaring teams as to his longevity, and ability to improve. Blair also is not an athletic player in the least. While he is strong, he is not a big time jumper, and at his height of just 6'5 without shoes, a GM could be scared as to his ability inside. Defensively Blair is a bit iffy, as while he has the strength to hold his own in the post, he is not a great post defender, nor is he a shotblocker. His long arms do help him stay in front of his man, but, at times Blair seems passive on defense. Blair's weight is a bit of an issue, as he is a smaller player, and it isnt muscle. His FT shooting leaves something to be desired as well.
Outlook:Blair was an extremely efficient player in college, with amaziing instincts at offensive rebounding, and rebounding as a whole. He definitely has some injury concerns, and concerns as to his potential as a whole, as he is undersized and not very athletic, but, in the end, he is a solid mid round pick, who could manage to find a home in the lotto with his ratings, as he should be able to jump in and contribute right away, something along the lines of 16 and 12 is possible in the right system, if not more. If he can stay in shape, and keep healthy, Blair should be a solid selection midround, and an excellent role player from day 1, if not more.
