Rookie Ratings

Strengths
He's got all the athletic abilities you look for in a pro: explosiveness, speed, ups and has a strong build to boot. Has the potential to be a big time scorer, able to get baskets in bunches. Flynn has excellent body control and can finish strong at and above the rim. He's good at drawing fouls and converting at the line. He's also a pretty good playmaker, who can slash and kick it out to open teammates for easy buckets. Draws a lot of defensive attention. His pure athleticism puts him into a good position to become a good defender someday, and he's an above average rebounder for a man his size due to his strength.
Weaknesses
Although he can play bigger than he is, he's definitely undersized. His shot selection is questionable at best, and he sometimes gets into the mindset of a pure long range shooter, which he is not. His decision making will have to improve. He's not a pure point, doesn't have pro court vision and sometimes appears to play selfishly because of this. Will need to work very hard on limiting his turnovers, as his ball-handling is fairly atrocious. Defensively, he may have the athleticism to keep up with pros, but coming from a zone defensive background, he won't have the kind of awareness you'd look for right away.
Outlook
Flynn might have the makings of a starting BBS point guard, but he certainly isn't anywhere near ready yet. His shot selection and decision making need a lot of work, and he may always be a turnover risk as a pro. For the team who drafts him, I'd suggest banking on him becoming an explosive combo off of the bench and if he turns out better, then good for you.
