Pros: Westbrook's mentality when it comes to basketball can be described in 3 words: Get it in. He's relentless, attacking the basket in waves whenever he has the ball, forcing the defense to react to him, and that's when he can find open shooters or cutters for an easy trey or layup. There's nothing he loves more than seeing some post standing in the paint challenging him, as he will rise up and attempt to cram it on their head, he lives for the highlight reel finish. There aren't many point guard prospects that have his combination of speed, hops, and strength.
Cons: Having said that, Westbrook's a terrible shooter. Just terrible. Has no long range capability, so a lot of teams just choose to play off him. He sometimes makes poor decisions with the ball, making risky passes that get picked off easily. Perhaps the worst part of his game is the fact that his defensive awareness is so poor. In a man to man scheme, no one should be able to get by him, but he'll get lost if he gets screened and doesn't quite understand proper rotations yet.
Overall: It looks like he will be a star, as he has all the physical tools, he just needs to get some skills up on par with his athleticism.
