Really don't see how Virginia Tech is lucky to have 11 wins. Yes, they're a weak 11 win team (so is Michigan), but given their schedule, 11 wins wasn't a massive over-achievement at all. Wasn't insinuating that I consider either a top 10 team. I just wasn't very impressed with Michigan today. Given how poorly we defended Clemson's spread offense, especially in the ACC title game, I thought Michigan would give us more fits.There were alot of doubts on whether Tech could contain Michigan's team speed. Those questions were answered. To hold them under 200 yards of total offense isn't a small feat. Also, just because you mentioned it earlier, I must chime in; there's no way Coale's TD catch should have been overturned. Replays showed no signs of indisputable evidence. I honestly think it was a catch to begin with, though. Congrats on the win, pretty sick turnaround for your program. Point differential, record in close games, etc. paint VT as a 9 win team. I tend to agree that I wouldn't have overturned the TD catch. I also don't think it was a catch though. One of those situations where the ruling on the field probably should have stood regardless of the way it was called, but yeah, I don't think it was a catch to begin with. Nose hit the ground while the ball was still moving. |
