Pros: Possibly one of the most polished offensive players to come out in years, Kevin Durant can burn you any way you want it. Inside, outside, down on the block, off the dribble, catch and shoot, threes, midrange, off a screen, or getting to the line. At 6'9 with a very long wingspan, Durant is a terror to guard, especially off the ball as he uses his quickness to leave slower defenders in the dust. There hasn't been an offensive prodigy like Durant coming out of college since Allen Iverson, over a decade ago.
Cons: He's just a beanpole of a guy, way too skinny and he needs to bulk up or he'll be getting beasted on by small forwards, let alone power forwards. As of right now, his defense is atrocious, he'll give up as many buckets as he gets. He needs to feed his teammates more, as he gets doubles and triples coming his way and often hesitates to pass, leading to a putrid amount of turnovers. If a team is in need of a facilitator for an offense, don't take Durant, because he's a pure finisher.
Overall: A franchise player. You're getting a future 30 PPG guy in Durant, but it remains to be seen whether he can add more to his game or if he will remain one-dimensional. Scouts are confident that he'll be a 30/5/4 contributor, but he really needs to work on defense to be considered as an elite player.
