Strengths
As far as outright explosiveness goes, few can match up with Shannon Brown. He's a nice finisher with a nasty first step, has great body control and sick hops. Holds on to the ball pretty well for such an explosive player. A decent ball stealer who will also get a (usually emphatic) block here and there. Pretty good rebounder for his size.
Weaknesses
Doesn't yet have pro 3pt range and doesn't utilize his jumper nearly enough as he should. Struggles to create space, which will hamper him at the next level. He's inconsistent, blowing fools doors off one night, then disappearing the next. Relies way too much on his athleticism and lacks polish on both ends of the floor. Doesn't possess the kind of passing ability that you'd look for in a pro two.
Outlook
He's certainly got a long way to go to be a major contributor in the pros, but Brown is a character guy and highly coachable. Add in good potential and who knows...
