Strengths
There isn't much that Roy can't do well. He is a talented slasher with a keen ability to penetrate off the dribble, or pull up to nail the jumper. Once in the lane, he has the ability to finish over/under/around bigs, or can deliver crisp if not flashy passes to the open man as defenses swarm. He's also done a ton of work to add a consistent outside shot to his repertoire. He's a terrific decision maker and should have a great assist to turnover ratio. Is also a very strong rebounder for his position and a good man defender.
Weaknesses
Not many. If there is one knock on Roy, it's that he's not the athletic freak that some teams value highly. Also not much of a ball hawk, or a shot blocker. Some also question how much more room he has to grow.
Outlook
Brandon Roy will be a starter in this league for the next decade at least. The only question is where. He will obviously be a very good two guard, but he very well may be quite able to play the point as well. A very low-risk option in the top three.
