Tyrus Thomas - 6'10, 225 lbs - 19 years old - B- C- D+ B- C+ A
Strengths:
Tyrus Thomas is one of the most ridiculous athletes to ever come into BBS. With great length and hops, he is a force on the glass and above the rim at both ends of the court. He makes an ideal transition player with his ability to block shots, rebound, run the court, and finish above the rim. Should be a very good defensive player, and a double-double guy on his athleticism and length.
Now, there's more to Thomas' game. He can drive just a little bit, can guard both 3s and 4s, and can knock down 15-footers.
Weaknesses:
Thomas isn't a ballhandler at all. He has a hard time using his superior quickness with the ball in his hands. Because of this, he can't beat many guys off the dribble. He can't play the 3 offensively, though he will likely be tried there because he can guard the position. He doesn't have the range or handles necessary to start as a wing player. And, unfortunately, he's a bit weak for the 4. His GM will need to work on his strength if Thomas is to reach his potential.
Overall:
Thomas is one of the best defenders and athletes in this class. 10-10-3 is very much in play; anything beyond that will take a lot of AC, RC, and TC development.
Draft Projection:
Mid-late lotto, in the 7-11 range.
