Strengths: Based on his college pedigree, J.J. Redick is one of the finest shooters to ever emerge from the college basketball scene. Redick has smashed several ACC and school records at Duke with his ability to stroke the ball from long distance. He has a marquee stroke that is BBS-ready and has range that spans past the three point line. He will also be one of the best free throw shooters in the league with time as he rarely missed while at Durham. His mid-range game is nearly as good as his long range game as he shoot hover around 45 percent for his career.
Weaknesses: Redick does not excel at any other part of the game except for shooting. He is a particularly below average defender and poor ball handler which may eliminate any change of Redick starting in BBS anytime soon. He is also very undersized for a shooting guard and may be relegated to being a tweener if he is going to stick in the league. He is also a very bad rebounder for a guard and is not espicially athletic which does not aid his ability to get better in the future.
Outlook: Redick is expected to be a mid-late round first round pick because his game offers very little other than shooting. He might find a niche as a Kyle Korver or Jason Kapono type in the league but will need a lot of RC help if he's going to be more than that.
