Monta Ellis 6'3' 175 lbs Guard B+ C C C C A Pros: A top notch athlete, Monta Ellis can certainly run and jump with the best of them. Monta loves to score, and he is most definitely at his best when he's in attack mode, getting to the rim and drawing fouls or finishing. He's shown some flashes of playmaking ability, his court vision making him that much more dangerous when he drives to the basket. Cons: Like with most young players, Monta really needs to work on his defense. He needs the ball to be effective, and sometimes tries to do too much with it. Monta gets out of control and turns it over, or makes a bad decision that leads to turnovers, which will need to be corrected if he wants to be a star in the pros. His midrange jumper is an effective weapon, but he doesn't possess 3 pt range on his jumper quite yet. Overall: Monta Ellis is an unfinished product, still quite raw. At the end of the day, he is what he is, an undersized combo guard that needs to dominate the ball and will be a defensive liability. Probably his absolute best case scenario would be to get on a contender as a 6th man to provide instant offense off the bench. Potential Ratings: A B- C+ C+ C B
