Strengths
Natural-born worker who has both maturity and character. Intense. Vazquez has nice speed/athleticism for his position. He's shown that he can score a bit around the basket and has reliable range out to about 14 feet. He's also a half-decent shot blocker/defensive rebounder and shows the attitude to be a reliable defender.
Weaknesses
Raw. Doesn't have the fundamental skill level that you'd expect from a Euro. Not a good passer by any means. Could work on his range. While Vazquez is a good athlete, he's not an uncommon one. One scout called him a poor man's Marcus Camby at best. Would be well served to work on his handles in order to take advantage of his athleticism.
Outlook
Might be able to find deep bench minutes as a rookie as a big who can come in and not kill you, but he's probably a couple of years away from making any consistent contribution. He's definitely a gamble, but the odds are far from insurmountable.
