Pros: Athletic as hell, with amazing jumping skills. Will be able to overwhelm a lot of players defensively as he is so athletic and long. Excellent Shot Blocker, and solid at stealing the ball for a bigger guy. Pretty good passer as well for a SF/PF. Young, with nice upside, and he has some range. Reminds scouts a lot of a more athletic Andrei Kirilenko, scary as that is.
Cons: His game is raw as hell, and will take time to develop outside his defense. Does occasionally have some turnover problems, and has a tendency to want to shoot the three even though it really isnt within his range. Not a great FT shooter either, though he has the potential to be solid in that aspect with enough work. Not Much in the way of post moves at this point, and is a bit weak for the PF position. While a good rebounder for a SF, at PF his rebounding is a bit underwhelming.
Outlook:
Look at Andrei Kirilenko...Josh Smith is a player very much in the same mold as AK, but probably a worse rebounder, with more of an offensive game than AK. Smith is young, and will take time to develop, but he definitely is a top 5 pick contender depending on who declares for the draft. J-Smoove will probably make the all defensive team a couple of times over the course of his career.
