Strengths
Childress is a long and versatile two-way player. He has been a very, very efficient shooter and has also shown some proclivity for finishing around the rim. Doesn't turn the ball over. He's already a pro caliber man defender, able to hold his own at three positions. As impressive, is his uncanny ability to rack up offensive boards.
Weaknesses
Really doesn't have the strength you'd like to see in a pro three, or the passing ability of a pro two. Needs more fluidity to his long range shot. Limited upside.
Outlook
Because he lacks strength, Childress will need to take each aspect of his game to the next level if he hopes to match his collegiate success against pro competition. If he can add strength and some weight to his frame, he could be a nice fifth starter, but until then, expect a high energy backup with defensive versatility and the ability to knock down open looks.
