1. Los Angeles Clippers - Manu Ginobili SG 6'6'' 210 22 B- B- C+ C+ D+ A
The only alternative to Manu is Elton Brand. I believe Manu goes here because he has a much better shot at being a #1 option then brand and Manu can play up to 3 different positions. Ginobili is a very versatile player that can do everything. Should be a 25-5-5 guy for a long time. Great player.
2. Minnesota Timberwolves - Elton Brand PF 6'8'' 275 20 B- C- C- B- B A
The Wolves desperately need a low post threat and they get just that in EB. Brand is a big time rebounder and a capable defender that should only get better. brand is also a pretty good scorer who could plateau at about 18 PPG or possibly spike to the 20-22 PPG area. Regardless he should grab 10-12 boards and block a couple shots. Extremely good player that may finally knock Brian "The Suck" Grant of the All BBS 3rd Team.
3. Orlando Magic - Shawn Marion SF 6'7'' 220 21 B- C C- B B- A
Tough choice here, but I go with Marion. I think The Matrix gives Orlando a big time defender and rebounder at the SF spot and also someone that could develop into a #2 or #3 option in the future. Marion is a 15 and 8 guy to start and might reach 18-10 eventually. Definately a plus player at SF.
4. Philadelphia 76ers - Baron Davis PG 6'3'' 210 20 C+ C+ B- B- C A
The Sixers already have a couple of very nice wings now they need a floor captain for the future. Magic Johnson is just about out the door, so they need a big time replacement. Baron Davis fits the bill. Davis is pretty good at everything. He tends to take some bad shots and turn the ball over a little, but he can pass and score. Davis should also develop into a very good defender.
5. Atlanta Hawks - Ron Artest SF 6'6'' 244 19 C+ C+ C B+ C A
The Hawks need to add a big time defender at the forward spot to help hide Franchise player Dirk Nowitzkis defensive shortcomings. Artest is a perfect fit. He should be a lock down defender and solid scorer. B B C A+ C is not out of the question.
6. Houston Rockets - Lamar Odom PF 6'10'' 220 19 B- C C+ C+ B- A
The Rockets love Odoms versatility. Odom can play any frontcourt spot and can handle like a guard. Odom is turnover prone and his shot is inconsistent but overall hes a very good player. Expect him to start at SF or PF and get 18-10 a night.
7. Milwaukee Bucks - Andrei Kirilenko PF 6'9'' 220 18 C+ C C- B+ C A
The Bucks need to grab a nice young post player to build around and at this spot AK is a nice pick. He can really defend. Lots of blocks and steals. Not a great offensive player, but he should score enough to be serviceable. Kirilenko can also play 2 spots, SF or PF so that's a plus as well. Expect him to be on many future All League Defensive teams.
8. Memphis Grizzlies - Richard Hamilton SG 6'6'' 185 21 C+ B C B- D+ A
The Grizz would love to add a # 2 option behind Tracy McGrady and Rip Hamilton is a perfect compliment. Hamilton can score inside and out. He has a great midrange game. Hamilton also should develop into a solid defender. Hamilton is a very nice complimentary player that could score 20 PPG eventually.
9. Boston Celtics - Andre Miller PG 6'2'' 200 22 B- C B- B- C- B
The Celtics really need a PG and Miller is the best available. He doesn't have much of a jump shot but he can distribute, defend and get to the basket. Miller should be a steady solid PG that will give the Celtics stability for the future.
10. Portland Trail Blazers - Steve Francis PG 6'3'' 195 22 B C+ C+ C C A
The Blazers need a young PG and Francis is an exciting athlete that has some great upside. Francis is a bit turnover prone, but he has impressive athletic ability and an uncanny ability to get hot and shoot the lights out. Should be a very good player, but maybe not at PG. Might be better as a SG.
11. Atlanta Hawks (from the Charlotte Bobcats) - Corey Maggette SF 6'6'' 218 19 B C+ C C C A
Hawks have a nice forward combo already, but adding Maggette here makes lots of sense. Maggette is a impressive athlete that loves to drive to the basket and score. Not much of a defender, Maggette may be a solid starter, but more likely will be a very good 6th man type.
12. Toronto Raptors (from the Oklahoma City Thunder) - James Posey SF 6'8'' 215 22 C B C- A- C B
James Posey is a perfect role player that can start t SF, defend and shoot 3's. Doesn't have a ton of upside, but he should be a solid starter or a very good reserve.
13. Washington Wizards - Jason Terry PG 6'2'' 176 21 C A- C+ C D+ B
The Wizards missed with the Damon Stoudamire pick a couple years ago, but they should do better with Jason Terry. While he might not be a true PG, he can score and handle enough already that he could be a nice combo guard backup at the least.
14. Dallas Mavericks (from the Denver Nuggets) - Jonathan Bender SF 6'11'' 202 18 C+ C+ C C+ C A
Bender is a risk reward type player. He is an amazing athlete but he is raw in every sense of the word. Bender is someone that has the size to play SF or PF but he has more of a guards game and athletic ability. Hit or miss.
15. Portland Trail Blazers (from the San Antonio Spurs) - Kenny Thomas PF 6'7'' 261 22 B C- D+ C+ C+ B
The Blazers need a solid young big man and while Thomas isnt as big as youd like ideally he can score and board a little and should be a nice starter during the Blazers rebuilding process. eventually he could be a nice combo forward backup.
The only alternative to Manu is Elton Brand. I believe Manu goes here because he has a much better shot at being a #1 option then brand and Manu can play up to 3 different positions. Ginobili is a very versatile player that can do everything. Should be a 25-5-5 guy for a long time. Great player.
