Top 20 players 25 and under
**With guys putting the drafts quality in question i figured i would take a look at the best players 25 and under. One thing i noticed is that a lot of the guys have the ability to score but not all can defend but those that can or have the potential to be solid defender i found the player be more valuable. Also, guys from this draft were not taken into account since they have not gone through a training camp**
20 - Kendall Gill SG 25 6'5'' 195 C+ B C+ B+ C A
Starting Ratings: C+ B- C B- C A
- Hasnt improved much but has a very solid all around game and good defender. Suns were forced to sign him to a hefty contract which is his biggest downside right now. Probably has some potential left but dont expect much improvement here.
19 - Malik Sealy SG 23 6'8'' 190 B- B- C B C A
Starting Ratings: C+ C+ C B- C B
- One of the few steals we've had so far. Improved in 3 categories and put up 14pts a game. Needs to improve on his 3pt shot. Denver has a solid foundation with Payton and Sealy.
18 - Billy Owens SF 24 6'8'' 223 B C B- B- B B
Starting Ratings: B- C C+ C+ C+ A
- Most thought Owens would bust but hes actually improved nicely in 2 seasons. With another good tc or 2 he has the chance to actually be pretty good but that is yet to be determined. Put up 16pts and grabbed 9 rbs a game this past season.
17 - Bobby Phills SG 25 6'5'' 210 C B+ C+ A- D B
Starting Ratings: C B C B D+ B
- I bet Mark didnt expect Phills to be this solid. 14pts and 5 assists is pretty solid. Looks to be a great complimentary player. Should be able to help mark make it out his cy.
16 - Dale Davis PF 24 6'11'' 233 C C- D+ A- B B
Starting Ratings: C+ D+ D+ B B B
- Good shotblocker which i love. Should be a starter for the better part of his career. Even if he doesnt improve he'll be an asset because of his defense.
15 - Antonio Davis PF 25 6'9'' 248 B C- D A- B- B
Starting Ratings: IDK
- Signed with the Pistons through free agency. Has some of the better looking ratings for a big man in the league but from my memory has not improved much ratings wise. The scarcity of good solid bigs puts him in the top 20. His contract sucks though.

14 - Terry Mills PF 25 6'10'' 230 B C- C- A- B+ B
Starting Ratings: C+ C- D B+ B- B
- Good pick in the creation draft. Has turned out alot better than expected and has been a good asset for the clippers with his good all around game. Can score a little, rebound, and defend. Probably reached his peak but its not a bad peak at all.
13 - Steve Smith SG 24 6'7'' 203 C+ A- C+ B- C- B
Starting Ratings: C+ B+ C+ C D+ B
- Good offensive player has improved steadily. Not a star but again like most guys in this list should be able to contribute offensively. Not higher because i seen more improvement from the guys ahead of him.
12 - Robert Horry SF 23 6'9'' 220 C+ B+ C- A C B
Starting Ratings: C B C- A- C B
- Horry will be a great complimentary player. Wont score in bunches but can give you a little bit of everything and defend. One of the few guys that can reach A+ defense. The type of guy most will love to have.
11 - Isaiah Rider SG 22 6'5'' 215 B- B+ C C+ C A
Starting Ratings: C+ B C C C A
- Rider was a steal from the 92 draft. Had a terrific TC and showed he has more potential than originally thought. Spurs got lucky with Rider. He's going to be good.
10 - Jimmy Jackson SG 23 6'6'' 223 B- B+ B- C+ C B
Starting Ratings: C+ B C+ C C A
- Thought he would take longer to develop but JJ showed he will be a very good player. Not a superstar but a very good piece to have. Averaged 20pts with solid percentages and definitely an asset for the Magic.
9 - Toni Kukoc SF 25 6'10'' 192 B- B B- B- C A
Starting Ratings: Out of free agency couldnt get em
- Straight out of europe. Kukoc had a solid all around rookie campaign. Dont see star written but should be a good 3rd option for the heat in the future. Only downside is that he has a max contract already.
8 - Latrell Sprewell SG 23 6'5'' 190 B- B- C B+ C A
Starting Ratings: C+ B- C B- C A
- Coming in i thought Spree would be more of a scorer but he just finished his first season so theres still lots of time for him to improve. His most valuable asset right now is that unlike alot of scorers he can defend which is a very valuable asset. Defenders are hard to come by.
7 - Terrell Brandon PG 23 5'11'' 180 B- B- B- C+ D+ A
Starting Ratings: B- C+ B C D+ A
- In a league where good pg's are hard to get TB is a stud. Had a good TC but still raw. He showed he can score though in his first year. Needs to work on his handling and percentages but that should come with time.
6 - Larry Johnson PF 24 6'6'' 250 B+ C C- C+ B+ B
Starting Ratings: B C C- C B A
- LJ had a great rookie year putting up 23 and 10 for the Suns. Had a great TC. Future looks good for LJ. Will never be a great defender but hes solid enough that his scoring and rebounding will make up for it. Percentages need some work though
5 - Nick Anderson SG 25 6'6'' 208 B B C A- C B
Starting Ratings: B+ C+ C B C B
- Talk about a steal. Nick Anderson doesnt have the flashiest name but he puts up great stats. Good scorer, great rebounder for a guard, and can defend. I dont think other guys would put him this high but the guy produces and is only 25. If he improves more it will only be an added bonus for the Thunder.
4 - Shawn Kemp PF 23 6'10'' 230 B+ C- C- A B B
Starting Ratings: B+ C- C- B+ B A
- Taken high in the creation draft by the Bulls. Kemp has made steady improvements but not as much as most thought. Bigs are hard to come by specially good ones which is why i put him at 3. He's also one of the few youngn's that are helping their team out right now. Has not reached that elite status yet but at 23 and with B potential he has room to still grow and become more of a force.
3 - Alonzo Mourning PF 23 6'10'' 240 B C D- B+ B+ A
Starting Ratings: Ratings: B- C D B B- A
- Top pick in the 92 draft and the reigning rookie of the year. Blazers hit the jackpot twice. 17,10,1,1 are great numbers for a rookie campaign. Had a great TC. Expect this guy to be a defensive force and one of the best bigs in the league for the rest of his career.
2 - Gary Payton PG 25 6'4'' 183 B- C+ A A C A
Starting Ratings: C+ C B+ B+ C A
- PG's are hard to come by and the Nuggets made a smart move when they traded Stockton for Payton. Worked out real well for them. Putting up great numbers and one of the best defenders in the league. Not too mention making all league 1st team. Would like to see his offensive ratings look better but he still puts up 20pts a game.
1 - Shaquille O'Neal C 21 7'1'' 325 A- D C- B A- A
Starting Ratings: B+ D D+ B B A
- This is about as easy as it gets. Top pick in 91 and 2 tc's later this guy is a top 5 talent already. Portland will be good for a very long time because of this man. Kinda surprising his D is still at B though. [/center]
