Dikembe Mutombo[/u]
Ratings: C+ C- C- A- B B
Pos: Center
Height: 7'2
Weight: 245 lbs
Age: 25
Strengths:
Well it is no secret Deke is the best defender in this draft and probably one of the best you'll see in any draft, especially for a big man. Deke comes into the league at 25 years old which is particularly old for any rookie, but will make an immediate impact, especially on the defensive end. Deke will come in and probably average over 3 blocks and 10 boards off the bat. Deke is a defensive anchor that any team would welcome with open arms. While Deke's offensive leaves a lot to be desired, his last year in Georgetown saw him shoot over 70% from the line which is rock solid, if he can bring that to the BBS level then you'd have to be happy.
Weaknesses:
Deke's biggest hole in his game is probably at the offensive end of the floor, and while it is pretty obvious Deke is no Hakeem in the post, he is still solid enough to not be a complete liability on the offensive end. Another concern for Deke is his handle, he turns it over quite often for a guy who doesn't get you many points, he could turn it over more than assists he gets.
Overall Outlook:
You know what you get with Deke, there shouldn't be any surprises when you draft him. He will come in and be a defensive stalwart for your team, and should be a good rebounder off the bat. He is a solid scorer and double digit points/rebounds should be what he gets in his rookie year. If you were looking for a gauge on potential production you could look at Lang on my roster I would think.
-Good rebounder
-Amazing shot blocker
-Solid FT shooter for a 7 footer
-Not very good post moves
-Questionable decision making/handles
