Repole can decide if he wants it or not. If i were the Hornets and got the 7th pick and Repole said no, I'd trade it for talent and get the 10th pick the year after, trade that for talent, sign nice free agents and build a playoff team Keep in mind that the Hornets can't trade their futures until the pick is satisfied, so it'd be pretty hard to build a team around a couple mid lottos, some cap space, and without the flexibility to trade futures for talent. It's still in their best interests long term to tank next season and try and get that pick situation satisfied if it isn't satisfied this year. If they want to try and rattle off 20 seasons of winning with a couple mid lottos and some cap space then I'd be totally ok with that. At some point, they'll need to tank again, and I'll take the pick at that point (when they don't have freebie years to waste ) so basically seth is on a leash...that's some messed up shit... lol...

Who cares if Repole got a good return on those picks.
If you want to get good value, acquire the consecutive picks of mediocre GMs.
Don't hate the player, hate the game

Fat looking mediocre is exactly the reason seth couldn't afford to wait.
If he keeps Fat, strikes out in FA, and goes into this season with a mediocre looking Fat Lever and a bunch of scrubs from FA he's looking at 4 seasons of fighting to win 42. Why? Why would anyone choose that path? His current situation is far better than that. Even if I don't take his pick this year, he has a mid lotto to work with and it isn't like the entire season was for nothing.
Basically he's got 4 years of tanking (including this year). One of those years, I'm in all likelihood going to take his pick. The other 3 years, he ends up with nice prospects and can build a real team instead of just trying to win 42 with limited talent.
