I wasn't going to get this deal next year, though. would have avoided moving your pick in this deal, then dealt off Dickey for other assets so that you're still getting value out of the Warriors pick. I'd of understood if you picked up Bingo, because he's still good enough that you can build a contender around relatively quickly. But while Dickey+English is a solid duo, Sparrow is still a +10 in handles away from really being average even at PG, Campy's solid but unspectacular, and outside of that you simply don't have enough to really contend. I could see you winning 50 if you get something decent out of the Knicks pick and with a bit of luck, but that's pretty much your ceiling and there's no where to go but down from there. |

I think there's something to be said about having guys that will play well together in a certain offense. Sparrow's better than you give him credit for IMO, and in an outside offense my perimeter guys should shine. I understand your point about keeping my pick, though.
