I'm only ranking 27 gms because I'm not ranking myself (if you think I overrate my players……) and I'm not ranking spencer.

marty's ranking: N/A
Why: Has he done anything? He is entering his cy with kiki, rambis, nance and whoever he gets this year. Still should make it easily given the amount of value given to young players in trades. He is probably a better gm than this and possibly was even in the league when I was here but I don't remember him doing anything then either. Do something!!!!!!

Why: Also hasn't done anything but I'm sure that is in part bc Spencer isn't letting him. But it looks like he just wasted a year by not trading for his picks back and it doesn't look like he will make the playoffs or get 42.

Why: He just doesn't seem to have a grasp about how his team will play together. He will occasionally put talented players together but they don't play well. It isn't enough to get talented players that don’t complement each other.

Why: Rumored to have once been a good gm but I haven't seen it since I have been here. I thought that he had a great nucleus a few years ago. I'm not really sure what happened to it. He held onto jojo too long and now can't move him. He seems to be doing the same thing with campy. This is his second year out of the playoffs and he has few assets. A decent chance that he gets cyd.

Why: His constant goal seems to be making his cy and then rebuilding. One 50 win season in the last 30 years is pretty bad. Doing a great job tanking this year. Far behind in last place and has only 4 mil in contracts. BRB looks good and the future looks bright for Det but the question is will Andy try to build a winner or be content to build a decent playoffs team.

Why: Kind of like HF in that sometimes he is totally wrong about his team's talent level. He should have rebuilt before the season. Now he is trying to move Gervin and Foots in a seller's market .

Why: Jah should probably be higher bc he keeps teams good for awhile. I just don't like that he doesn't usually try to take the next step. He has been pretty meh lately and will enter his cy with precious few assets. It could have been even worse; if he didn't luck into the playoffs with 39 wins three years ago than this year would have been his cy.

Why: Got cy'd. Came back and hasn't done much (except make the worst trade of the season). He still has pieces (kaj, fryer, jones) to either try and win or to get rebuilding pieces. Not doing anything is pretty bad. Should get his 53 back and tank or try to win.

Why: Acquired a ton of youth but then squandered it away. Is now the test case of the claim that great players make great gms. If MJ doesn't bolt 3 is his over/under number for championships.

Why: Lots of gms don't commit themselves to winning. Greg has a problem committing himself to winning. Just give away drew and be as bad as possible. Another pick or 2 isn't worth dropping 5 spots in the lotto.

Why: Reminds me of that old nursery rhyme " And when she was good, She was very, very good But when she was bad she was horrid". Put together a great team that had the misfortune of playing in the Bingo years. Then he started getting worse and disappeared. I hate when gms don't fix their own stuff.

Why: Game would probably end up at the top of the most liked gms list. The most significant thing that he has done lately is help the Blazers win a title. 2nd year of his cy and he has Aguirre, Schayes and Tripuka as well as two top 7 picks. Game keeps getting better and the only reason that he isn't higher is that there are a ton of good gms here.

Why: Has done a really good job lately but doesn't seem able to get over the hump of being a very good team and turn that team into a real contender. Has done a good job getting top players but hasn't been able to put together the role players around them to make the team a top team. Also doesn't really do a good job managing his cap situation.

Why: Rumor has it that he used to be a top gm. He didn't do much to impress me when he was constantly in cap trouble in La. He did inherit a lousy situation in NJ but that was 20 years ago. Not easy to deal with in trade talks as most of his answers are "lol", "awk" or "lol awk".
