1. You are named after Kobe... how big a Kobe fan are you?
Pretty big fan, Lakers were the first team I watched on TV when I got old enough to understand basketball. Kobe was the best player so he became my favorite pretty quickly. I use to be on his message board and shit, I would say I'm not as big of a Kobe fan now as I use to be.
2. How do you feel about the state of your team at the moment? What are your teams strengths and weaknesses?
I like where we are right now, going to mess around with the DC a bit the next few sims. Are strength is our depth, having a guy like Ron Boone off the bench is great and he has played great since going to the bench. Greg Smith in reserve as well he should play a big role next year. Thornton and Hooser haven't been great but they have been solid enough. Our weakness is our defense I guess, we give up a lot of points. Guard rebounding isn't the best in the league either. Washington should sure up our defense and rebounding as the time goes on though and Block's rebounding numbers keep getting better.
3. What does the future hold for your team? What's your plan for the next 3-5 seasons?
Without my picks until 2050, I plan to win at least until then. I see a lot of trades in the future too lol. McCarter expiring in the off-season is big I really need to resign him or I'm kind of fucked. I still need to get younger in the frontcourt as well. That is the main focus right now. Though Block and Washington are still really good they are old and won't be around much longer.
4. If you could swap teams with any other in the league, which would you take and why?
Probably Bulls just because of Dickey, but I'll say Spurs. Tyler looks like he could be the next Dickey as he has been a pleasant surprise for the Spurs. They have Campy who is one of the best young scoring small forwards in the league as well. And MRR at PG, if he can get the turnovers under control then he will be one of the best players in the league. Lucas is a solid young big as well, nothing spectacular though. Blazers are also a good choice they have a ton of young talent as well.
5. There have been lots of big trades recently, with a lot of players moving all over the place. Who will be battling for the Championship this year and why? Name the two finalists and who will come out on top.
I think the Bucks will ultimately make it out of the East, Bingo is just too good. Bulls will give them a run for their money but aar is a good enough GM not to mess his chance up. And out of the West I'll go with Blazers they are playing much better than everyone else in the West right now. And with the young talent they have they could make a big trade to make their team even better if they really wanted to. I think the Bucks end up winning it. Bingo seems to turn it on in the playoffs and he has even more talent around him now then he ever did in Orlando so I think the Bucks will prevail.
6. Who has been the most disappointing player in the league right now and what makes you pick him?
Ill go with Jon McGlocklin. Idk if Jay wasn't using him right or what but he seems to have died. He is still a good player but has played no where near the level we are use to seeing from him.
7. Who will win Rookie of the Year this year, and who is going to be the best player out of this draft class down the line?
Terry Tyler to both. 16 and 10 with 2 spg and 3 bpg is insane. Not sure if he has been RCd or ACd yet either. He should be an amazing player for a long time for the Spurs. He is one of those players you never trade especially if he has potential and keeps developing. He is great now though.
8. Who are you most looking forward to seeing enter the league in the next couple drafts?
Don't really know much about who is coming into the league, but people are saying the MJ draft is soon so obviously I'll go with him.
9. After this interview, this AC will go to...
Not sure yet, McCarter will be camped out after my other AC and don't really have anyone else to AC. I will probably just save it for now or I might use it on Greg Smith, he has all 3 ACs left. Could turn him into a beast.
