Kobe didn't answer your pm after two minutes? Go tell Spencer. Kobe is the ex-Bos gm who has come back after being banished for a couple of seasons for ignoring pms.
You were canned for ignoring pms. Did you think that was fair? How did you think you would have done as the Bos gm if you didn't get fired? Any hard feelings still exist ?
Not really but i'm over it now. I think Spence was just tired of play bitching. Umm I had a good team for a few years then I was about to rebuild right before I got fired. I was only around for like 6 or 7 seasons so didn't really have time to do much. Hopefully Ill be around a lot longer this time. Nah as I said before no hard feelings I was kind of mad when it happened but its whatever.
Walk me through your trade with the Nuggets. Are you worried that Mcarther will walk and you will be left wo a pg?
The trade with the Nuggets was pretty easy it was the only one I had on the table for D'antoni. D'antoni is a good player but I like McCarter a lot and wasn't going to be able to keep them both. Washington is great and Smith might be starting for me next year so I like the trade a lot for me though the Nuggets benefit greatly from it as well. Of course I'm worried he might walk who wouldn't be but every one expires at some point. He will be getting full max obviously if he goes into FA so he should be a Hornet for a while.
Pistol Pete came out firing this year, will he be able to keep it up?
He should be able to. He did slow down a bit this last sim but I think he can avg. around 30 for the season. The offense is tailored around him so I expect his hot start to continue throughout the season.
Andy had been saying for years that Block is one of the most underrated players in the league, agree or disagree?
I would agree I guess, though I really don't know since I wasn't around for a lot of Block's career. But he has been a consistent 18 and 12 with great %s the past 6 seasons if his shot blocking was a little better he would be known as an elite big.
Rank – Mccarter, DJ, MRR
1. McCarter - A little biased obviously but I take credit for finding the 2nd round steal. I drafted him because his name was cool but turns out he is a stud. Currently putting up 23 and 9 with 2.1 spg and 1.9 tpg. He and Maravich might be the best backcourt in the league right now.
2. MRR - Only in his 2nd season but it looks like MRR will be great. Having some TO issues this season which is why I have McCarter higher than him right now. But with those rebounds, blocks and steals if he develops his scoring a little more and gets his TO under control he will be better than Andre.
3. DJ - Assuming this is Dennis Johnson. Doesn't quite have the ratings of the other guys but if you take away assists DJ is having a better year than MRR so far. DJ just seems like he will be a complementary PG his whole career though he could develop his scoring and be great.
Ron Boone has great ratings but will he ever be a great player?
Boone isn't a great player but he has played very good for us this year. He had a nice TC getting that defense up to A and it has showed. He has avg. 2.0 spg and 0.6 bpg. Along with 7 rpg and 18 ppg on decent %s. As a non option that is really good, but I wouldn't call him a great player.
Willie Davis got off to a slow shooting start this year. Does he miss Bingo?
He has only played 10 games, but yea I'm sure he definitely misses playing with maybe the best player ever in an inside offense. But he had a nice sim his first sim back and the team played really well with him at SF.
Top 3 rookies?
1. Terry Tyler - This guy has been amazing so far for the Spurs. 18 and 10 with 2 spg and 3 bpg?? wow. Next bobby jones. Spurs stole him in the draft and looks like he will be a top player value wise very soon if he already isn't.
2. Marques Johnson - Rockets wanted to trade back from this pick but it looks like they made the right choice he has been great so far as well. He just does everything good and it looks like he will be a superstar in the league.
3. Bernard King - King is avg. 22.5 ppg per 36 and shooting nearly 50% from the field. Outside is easiest thing to raise once that comes around he will be an elite scorer. If he has the potential could become a plus rebounder at SG/SF.
3 guys that outplay their ratings ?
Don Buse - Doesn't have the best looking ratings but he has been great as a non option for the Bucks this year. 16, 10 and 4 with 2.6 spg and 0.7 bpg and under 2 tpg. Good %s as well.
Randy Denton - He doesn't necessarily outplay his ratings but I feel he is underrated and the B defense hurts him a little. But per 36 the past few seasons his numbers have been crazy. Avg. 23 and 14 per 36 so far this year.
Mel Daniels - Shitty ratings but he is a great shot blocker.
Who is this ac going to?
Andre McCarter. +5 to that jump shot.
Call out 2 gms for bad trade offers?
hype offered moore for cowens and 2 firsts and said i was raping him and he would have to think about it lawl.
No others really come to mind right now
Bird or Magic? Who goes third in the draft?
Magic, he does everything but shoot 3s. Both should be studs though. hmm I would probably go with Theus at 3 though I really wouldn't want to he just seems to have the best potential from notes.
Will Jay make his cy?
It doesn't look like jay will make it right now he needs to make a few more moves. He has the pieces to do so, so I'm not sure why he hasn't made a few more moves yet.
What are your thoughts on Pig giving up so early in the season. How bad is the situation in Memphis? Worse than the Suns situation was when Outlawz took over?
Grizzlies are actually 14-10 lol, but I know how he feels sometimes you just don't feel like doing this shit. Especially in your CY I guess lol. Grizz have some nice pieces should have no problem flipping denton, hillman, gale, murphy for youth/picks.
you can fire 3 gms- who are they and why?
None but If I had to choose: DJ, Outlawz and hype. None of them are very active or contribute a whole lot to the league.
give yourself 1-10 ratings on the following: 1)draft 2) fa 3)dc 4)trading
1. Draft - 7 - Ive had the #1 projected 3 or 4 times here and dropped to 3rd or 4th every time I swear. I haven't made a ton of picks here but I was good at drafting in other leagues and the McCarter pick has turned out nice.
2. FA - 5 - Don't really think there's a lot of skill involved here its mostly luck. But ill give myself a 5 since I can't remember any big signings I've had here.
3. DC - 6 - Could be better but don't really think there is a ton of skill involved. It's not too hard to figure out how guys play in a system. You just have to find the players that fit your system best.
4. Trading - 6 - Might trade to much and can end up making 1 bad deal that can ruin a lot of good deals but I feel for the most part I make good deals.
inside or outside offense?
I'd rather outside offense. PG-SG-SF with high jumpshot and threepoint shooting and PF-C who rebound and block shots.
Marty or CC?
I guess Marty since he has won a championship but neither are very good it seems like CC is always stuck in the middle.
which player are you looking forward to seeing in the coming draft classes?
Not sure how he picks the drafts, but apparently MJ is coming soon so him.
Spencer should sim again tonight bc…….
