Winners:
Pacers: They turn two lottery picks in a weak draft into Bill Walton, who is a top-10 value player in the league. Michael Cooper looks solid and all, but building a core of John Lucas, Alex English and Bill Walton will allow the Pacers to continue working towards a winning franchise. Few doubt that they got great value from a rebuilding Magic team.
Cavs: Not only do they get the best player available, but they also address their biggest need and they do it without having to trade up (despite admitting that he attempted to). They now have cap room to try and land more elite players, but a core of Nixon, Free, Dantly, Roundfield is absolutely awesome. I really respect Marty for knowing his team's limitations and slow-building their roster.
Bulls: I'm not sure why so many GMs were hung up on drafting Glen Gondrezick, but not only does he have great ratings, he also has good notes. The Bulls somehow always manage to score in the draft and the 2047 draft is no different.
Blazers: With Tree Rollins up front already, scoring a great compliment like Landsberger is an absolute score. You've got a strong guy who will be an elite rebounder off the bat and although he can't block, he should be a 10/12 guy immediately and to get that outside of the lottery is a win.
Warriors: Kent Benson is the big man prospect in the draft who looks to have really solid upside. He somehow ends up outside of the lottery and the Warriors manage to scoop him up.
Losers:
Rockets: I'm really surprised that Marques Johnson went this high. He looks like a solid prospect, but I much prefer the considerable upside of Cooper. It was a big win for the Rockets to move up in the draft and instead of capitalizing and taking a player who many considered the top prospect in the draft, he passes.
Mavs: I just don't get why they take Davis over Nixon and Tyler, who I view as two prospects who have far more star potential and less flaws. Taking a guard who can't rebound this high in the draft seems like a huge crap shoot and I don't think it pays off.
Magic: They fell in love with two prospects and ended up trading Bill Walton. Repole acknowledges that he loses the deal and continues to rebuild the Magic in the way that he best sees fit.
Boom or Bust
Suns: Sikma is a nice pick, but why wouldn't he take Wayne Cooper and build a beastly frontcourt. Eddie Jordan looks like a huge gamble as a lotto pick and there were simply better players on the board.
Knicks: They have a ton of picks and take huge risks on all of them. Birdsong looks like a pretty sure thing, but the rest of his picks end up looking pretty hit or miss. He also gives up Buse to get two late picks, which could come back to bite him.
Wizards: In a point guard heavy draft, taking Ray Williams over Kent Benson and Glen Gondrezick is a huge risk. Gondrezick and Benson look like they'll almost certainly be better players.
