actually, player traits that show up based on a guys underneath ratings, but you cant see those, would be nice so say a guy has a 30 injury prevention rating, he would earn an injury prone label which would show up on the player page if a guy was a super athlete there would be a trait, shooter trait, etc... or do away with ratings and just use stats and those superstar trait, turnover prone trait, high IQ trait, great passer trait etc

Bynum also being much much younger entering, and entered earlier, yeah, they are at the same place, but Love wasnt supposed to light up the league, I just see drafts being too predictable with a athleticism and ratings based system, since work ethic cant be the be all end all

oh yeah, and the clutch trait, lets not forget that one
lockdown defender
gambler (steals, fouls)
block happy (bites on pump fakes, more blocks, more fouls, though these ones are ratings modifiers more, so hrm)

would High/low IQ encompass every aspect of the game? like fouls, shot selection, turnovers etc

as do I. Would be fun to see a guy develop a new trait, but otherwise be unaware of how their development is going other than their actual performance.

would High/low IQ encompass every aspect of the game? like fouls, shot selection, turnovers etc Yeah, I mean I don't have an IQ trait in particular, I could as another potential type thing, but your IQ shows up in how often you turn the ball over, foul, etc. Not exactly tangible as its own rating.

though it would be a nightmare seeing that damned injury prone trait show up on a guy who has yet to be injury prone, but it just being outta luck

It would almost have to be a ratings modifier, smart players gain, dumb players lose, and over time as the player gained experience it would become less of an issue

Detailed ratings. I don't want my athlete to have the same inside rating as the floor sticking post big.

Meh. We'll see, it's a ways off, I'll keep thinking on it.

how does defense work in fbb? if a pg gets by my pg do my other players try to help? what ratings influence their ability to help besides shotblocking, if any?

That's the plan
I have a help defense system on the inside, so the importance of having bigs who can impact shots on the inside is huge.
