best brewery in Oregon isn't even in Portland Full Sail or Deschutes? Full Sail is an hour away in Hood River and Deschutes has its own pub in the Pearl District. And because the state has better beer, the abundance of good to great microbreweries in Portland is irrelevant? Portland has so many options, good options, for microbreweries, its stupid to say its not a top 3 city in the US, pretty much every single listing has Portland in the top 5

If were to ever move out of California Id consider Oregon. Seems relaxed and cheap. Beer on the West coast in general is amazing. Deschutes is great. Ninkasi is great. Although I still prefer Northern California and San Diego breweries.
The West Coast is sick though.

Not sure if Chris knows beer though. I thought he drank lagers.

Best breweries to visit, and best breweries are different tho. IMO at least. Some breweries are like Disneyland for beer drinkers. Doesnt mean they have the best beer. Ive never had any Hair of the Dog tho.

Russian River/Drakes/Lagunitas/Bear Republic are all top notch NorCal breweries. Stone/Port/Green Flash/AleSmith are sick San Diego breweries

Ive never had any Hair of the Dog tho. thing is, for best beer you can still toss in Deschutes, Ninkasi, Rogue River, Full Sail, Portland has them in the bars/pubs, plus all the microbreweries,

Hair of the Dog had two top 50 beers this year

Id be surprised if youve had Russian River or Drakes though, and their beers are great. Drakes makes a 10% DIPA that is better then 90 Minute IPA IMO.

Brooklyn Brewery and Dogfish are alright. I don't think they could stand a chance compared to the best out west though.
Southern Pecan is the main microbrew down here. I don't like it too much.

I need to try Cigar City. I always hear about them and I never see it anywhere.
