like no there's definitely no problem with gay teen suicides, let's make a big deal that nba athletes don't think gay should be used as a pejorative No one said that. I thought the execution was half-assed and awful. I am not a homophobe or slander homosexuality but I think GLAAD and commercials like this just add more insult to injury. People who use gay as a pejorative will still be doing it until someone in the Gay/Lesbian community takes a double take and starts to say "We are gay, we are proud and you can fuck off because we don't care." It is bullying 101, if you let comments get to you, people are still going to use them. If you don't let shit get to you, then people stop. The sad truth, but the truth. i know you arent, i was just going over the top jokingly but i dont think thats so realistic a perspective. hard to be rational/objective if its something your extremely sensitive to, or if youre just young |
