1. Golden State Warriors
Willis Reed C 6'9'' 235 22 B C D B+ B+ A
The Warriors suck dick...as of day 70 they are 7 and 40...just horrible...their leading scorer is a 33 yr old Harrison and a bunch of nobodies (with the exception of Walt Hazzard who is just a baby)..they seriously need the #1 pick to turn around their shitty franchise..Reed will produce from day 1..
2. Cleveland Cavaliers
Gail Goodrich SG 6'1'' 170 21 B B C+ C C- A
Cavs are also horrible..after trading Russ for 15 1sts they need another player to take over their franchise.. Goodrich will be a good start..he will come in and score 25 ppg from day 1...the cavs won't be winning anytime soon so it will be nice to see Goodrich score all day while they tank...
3. Orlando Magic
Wali Jones SG 6'2'' 180 22 C+ B+ B- C+ C A
One thing we know, repole craves outside shooting...and the 2nd best sg in the draft is perfect for them. unlike Goodrich, Wali looks more polished and will score all day while the magic tank their ass off just like the cavs..
4. Detroit Pistons
Paul Silas PF 6'7'' 225 21 C+ C- C A- B+ A
This is when the draft is questionable.. I think pistons go with the best defensive big man available..his notes aren't that impressive as expected but I think andy will say fuck it and take this kid... pistons will be in their CY and they need all the defensive help they need in the front court...or silas could be a nice tradeable asset to get better asap..
5. Memphis Grizzlies
Jeff Mullins SG 6'4'' 190 22 B- B+ B C C A
Memphis takes the 3rd best sg here...although he sucks in defense, mullins will score all day while his team tanks for the next couple of years. read #2 and #3.
6. Washington Wizards
Happy Hairston PF 6'7'' 225 22 B+ C- D+ C+ B A
The Wiz just started their rebuild and they need another young piece to go with sloan and whoever else they have...i think they select the happy guy here...just like the sg's above, happy will score all day while his team tanks for another high pick next season.. his notes say he is a low post beast and i think jeff will be happy seeing 20+ ppg from him...
7. Phoenix Suns
David Lee PF 6'7'' 225 22 B B D+ B B C
Lee is probably the best PF in this draft according to his notes although his upside is questionable...but still, Lee looks very promising and could turn out to be a steal for the suns here... they could use a big next to buckner and this is a perfect selection here..
8. Portland Trail Blazers
Levern Tart SG 6'2'' 195 22 B+ C+ B- C C A
Portland selects the 4th best sg available at this pick...according to his notes, Tart looks like the most athletic out of the bunch...he could see many dunk contests and win most of them..I see him becoming a Derozan or Vince Carter type player..this would be a very good pick here..
9. Charlotte Bobcats
Em Bryant PG 6'1'' 175 25 B C B B C+ C
Not sure who the Bobcats will take here but I see them taking the best pg in the draft... the cats lack a real pg and bryant is bbs ready.. HF will be in his CY and they need a pg bad..this pick could also be dealt..who knows.
10. Miami Heat
Maurice McHartley SG 6'3'' 185 22 B- B- B- B+ C B
The Heat selects the last best sg in the draft...with bellamy and big nate holding the anchor up front, they could use a versatile guard like mchartley...athough they have loughery at sg, I think mchartley is the best available pick here..
11. Los Angeles Lakers
Jim Barnes PF 6'8'' 210 23 C+ C D+ B+ B A
Lakers have every position filled except PF so Barnes gets selected here... they could use a defensive minded PF to hold down their d up front...barnes also has the potential to become a nice rebounder... with all the scorers on their team, Barnes will be perfect for them..
12. Dallas Mavericks
Jim Davis C 6'9'' 225 22 B+ C C- B- B+ C
Not sure who Mavs pick here but I see them taking a guy like Davis who can score and rebound...looking at their roster, the Mavs love bigs and I see them adding another one in Davis...hell, Davis could be a nice depth piece for them since Greg craves depth...
13. Detroit Pistons via Philadelphia 76ers
Hank Finkel C 7'0'' 240 22 C+ C- C- B+ B+ B
Pistons round out the lottery by selecting big Hank Finkel, who is probably one of the best center prospects in this class..his game looks bbs ready and Andy will need that since he will be in his CY next season...Hank will provide d and rebounding from day 1 and could become a A- A- type player...pistons could really use a big up front like him. this pick could also be dealt for a vet to get better..who knows..
