i just don't see how you guys are knocking Rutgers, Rutgers is a great school if it had the "Ivy League" stigma attached would you still be saying the same thing?

Depends what you determine tiers to be. Tier 1--Ivy's, Stanford, Amherst, Williams, Berkeley, Northwestern, Tufts, Bowdoin, Pomona, Duke, UVA, etc. Tier 2--NYU's, BC's, BU's of the world Rutgers would probably fall in tier 3 Yeah I'd agree with something like this

No. It's a hell of a lot easier to get into Rutgers. For example, I would get into Rutgers but would have no chance of getting into an Ivy or most of the Tier 1 schools i listed

SAT Critical Reading: 530 - 630 99% SAT Math: 560 - 680
Obviously SAT isn't everything, but that's not even close to elite. Good numbers though. It's not a bad school.

I know of people that got into NYU and got rejected at Rutgers.

I know of people that got into NYU and got rejected at Rutgers. I was considering applying to Rutgers as a safety. NYU is tougher to get into by a good amount.

These rankings are skewed somehow though. A couple of my buddies go to Champlain College which is the shittiest school ever and it says Tier 1. But then it says for Baacuerlate Universities in the North.
