Minnesota Timberwolves
1st Overall
J.D. Quincy SF 6'5'' 222 20 B C+ B- C+ C+ A
J.D. Quincy SF 20 6'5'' 222 B B- C+ B- B- A
To me, Quincy was the obvious pick at #1 and he had a decent TC - nothing spectacular, but it's only his first TC.
In preseason, he showed a ton of versatility, albeit in limited minutes.
11th Overall
Cam Adams SG 6'7'' 215 21 B- B A C C B
Cam Adams SG 21 6'7'' 215 B- B+ A+ C+ C B
Adams had a great TC, but the only issue that I can see with him is that he's better suited to play at PG, but isn't eligible.
Either way, he looked great in preseason and should be a very interesting player.
12th Overall
Kevin White SF 6'7'' 218 19 B B- C+ B- B B
Kevin White SF 19 6'7'' 218 B B C+ B B+ B
White completes what should be considered a franchise-changing draft for the Timberwolves. With three solid TCs from three lotto picks, the T-Wolves now have what it takes to acquire some big pieces.

Portland Trailblazers
2nd Overall
Randy Sinclair PF 7'0'' 215 20 B- D+ C- B- B- A
Randy Sinclair PF 20 7'0'' 215 B D+ C B B A
Sinclair looks to be the true prize of this draft thus far. When he was available at #2, it was, like Quincy, the obvious selection to make.
In preseason, Sinclair showed that he will be one of the league's elite big men in time. His offensive arsenal isn't established yet, but he shot nice percentages and the obvious highlight was his shot blocking ability.

Atlanta Hawks
3rd Overall
Monty DuBois SG 6'6'' 222 21 B C C B C A
Monty DuBois SG 21 6'6'' 222 B+ C C+ B C B
DuBois was the clear reach of the draft. Why the Hawks coveted him so much remains a mystery. That said, he had a decent TC and could end up being a serviceable starter with time.
Grade: C+
New York Knicks
4th Overall
Tyrone Kemp SF 6'8'' 210 20 B- D+ B B+ B A
Tyrone Kemp SF 20 6'8'' 210 B- C- B B+ B- B
The Knicks drafted Kemp and dealt him before TC to the Bobcats in a package for Anthony Randolph. Randolph is a top-10 player in the league and the Knicks made out like bandits.
9th Overall
Trey Mack PG 6'2'' 199 23 C A C+ C+ D A
Trey Mack PG 23 6'2'' 199 C A+ C+ B- D A
Here's where the Knicks may have made a mistake... They swapped Mack for some decent pieces from the Wizards and Mack had a solid TC. The Wizards were rebuilding, so they must be thrilled to have landed Mack.
15th Overall
Marc Nichols C 6'10'' 239 19 C+ C- C- A- B B
Marc Nichols C 19 6'10'' 239 C+ C- C- A- B B
To me, Nichols had bust written all over him. No notes, no hype, just a 19-year old with decent starting ratings. The Knicks packaged him in the Randolph deal as well.

Boston Celtics
5th Overall
Koni Bruton SF 6'9'' 225 21 B D+ C- C B A
Koni Bruton SF 21 6'9'' 225 B C- C C B+ A
This one is a head scratcher... Not the pick itself, but the fact that the CPU cut him from the Celtics preseason roster. That certainly doesn't bode well for Koni.
I still think that this was the right pick and a +3 TC certainly doesn't hurt.
Bruton is a nice project player who reminds me a lot of Ricardinho from the previous BBS. His ratings may be a little bit too raw to ever amount to anything.
21st Overall
Kody Griffin C 6'9'' 262 21 B C+ C- C B+ B
Kody Griffin C 21 6'9'' 262 B+ C+ C- C+ B+ B
Griffin had an awesome TC. A definite steal at 21st overall. He also had a spectacular preseason. Great pick here.
22nd Overall
Jackson Jones SF 6'7'' 235 21 C+ C+ C+ B+ C B
Jackson Jones SF 21 6'7'' 235 C+ C+ C+ B+ C+ B
Jones didn't do much, but still looks like a nice, starting-caliber player with some RCs/ACs. He's versatile and suits the part.
24th Overall
Shawn Hill C 7'1'' 225 20 B- D+ C- B B- B
Shawn Hill PF 20 7'1'' 225 B D+ C- B+ B- B
Another really nice pick. In fact, Jeff may have drafted his starting C and PF with the 21st and 24th overall pick in the draft. Wow.
Grade: A
Chicago Bulls
7th Overall
Jason Paulson SG 6'4'' 217 22 B B- D B- C- A
Jason Paulson SG 22 6'4'' 217 B+ B D B- C A
Paulson was a suspect pick to say the least. 6'4" with D handles? Yikes.
Usually Play has great judgment, but this pick is baffling. He had a nice TC, but his preseason numbers are just ugly.
20th Overall
Jack Conrad SF 6'10'' 235 20 B- B C B- C B
Jack Conrad SF 20 6'10'' 235 B- B+ C C+ C C
Conrad looks decent, but I'm not sure how much better he'll get. Strangely, if he had A potential, he'd have been a top-10 pick.
28th Overall
Keyon McKey PG 6'3'' 179 20 C C+ B+ C D B
Keyon McKey PG 20 6'3'' 179 C C+ B B- D A
What a weird TC. Either way, getting a backup PG at 28th overall is par for the course.
Grade: C
Golden State Warriors
8th Overall
Nehemiah Harrison SG 6'2'' 190 20 B+ B+ C- D+ D- A
Nehemiah Harrison SG 20 6'2'' 190 B A- C- C D A
Well, Harrison has a gigantic defensive liability is out the window.
He did nothing in preseason, but he's a few TCs away from being a huge scorer.
He still has his liabilities, but he should be solid with time.
16th Overall
Eric O' Connor C 7'1'' 265 22 B- C- C- B+ C+ B
Eric O' Connor C 22 7'1'' 265 B- C- C A- C+ B
O'Connor looks like a serviceable backup big man now.
He needs to improve his inside scoring rating to become anything more.
Grade: B-
San Antonio Spurs
10th Overall
Stromile Storm C 7'1'' 200 19 C+ D+ A- C+ C A
Stromile Storm C 19 7'1'' 200 C+ D+ A- C+ C+ B
I really don't blame him for taking Storm here, but he busted and it sucks.
17th Overall
Kasumara Izawa PG 5'10'' 175 22 C B A- B D+ B
Kasumara Izawa PG 22 5'10'' 175 C B A B D+ B
I like Izawa. He was a steal at this pick. However, with his handles the way that they are in preseason, he's going to be a career backup.
Grade: D
Miami Heat
13th Overall
Herbert Page PF 6'9'' 255 22 C+ C D+ B+ B+ B
Herbert Page PF 22 6'9'' 255 C+ C D B+ A- B
Page looks like he's going to be a solid player and possibly a starter immediately. His preseason numbers were good, but not spectacular. With some RCs, he could become one of the best rebounders in the league.
Cleveland Cavaliers
14th Overall
Anthony Johnson PG 6'1'' 175 21 C C B+ B C+ A
Nigel Middleton PG 21 6'1'' 175 C C A- B- C+ B
Not only did his ratings change, his names changed. In preseason, he looked like he'll definitely be a long-term starter in this league. He was part of the John Wall deal.
26th Overall
Andrew Larson C 6'11'' 262 23 C+ C D+ B+ C+ B
Andrew Larson C 23 6'11'' 262 B- C C- B+ C+ B
Didn't have the best TC, but simply put, the steal of the draft. Just awesome.
27th Overall
Brock Johnson PF 6'11'' 230 23 C+ C+ C B- B- B
Brock Johnson PF 23 6'11'' 230 B- C+ C B- B- B
Also looked good in preseason. Not great, but good.

Stayed the same in TC, but looked good in preseason.

Dale Franklin SG 6'6'' 206 21 C+ B- C B- C A
Dale Franklin SG 21 6'6'' 206 C+ B- C B C- B
Guy looks like a scrub. Paired with the bad return for Randolph, this draft was a disaster for the Bobcats.

Jackson Lynch PG 6'3'' 188 20 C C+ B B- D B
Jackson Lynch PG 20 6'3'' 188 C C+ A- C+ D C
Looked decent in preseason. Jury is still out on Lynch, especially with the C potential.
Grade: C
Memphis Grizzlies
Scott Hickey SG 6'3'' 212 22 C+ A- C B D C
Scott Hickey SG 22 6'3'' 212 C+ A C B D C
The last pick of the first round looks like a winner. Had a solid TC and a solid preseason. The Grizzlies continue to snap up solid players at the end of drafts.
