Jayson O'Keane
6''8 245 PF
21 years old
Arkansas
Ratings: A- C+ D+ C+ B C
Strengths: When I say Jayson O'Keane can score, I mean it. He's big, strong, and pretty athletic. He's a terror on the low post, and a guy who can score in a variety of ways. He has a great hook shot and can finish with both hands. Best of all, O'Keane has a great jump shot for a big guy and can even hit the occasional three pointer. Essentially, he's your ideal offensive big man. At Arkansas, he averaged 24.5 points on 58% shooting, 75% from the line, and 30% from three point range in just 31 minutes per game. O'Keane is also an aggressive offensive rebounder who uses his strength well. He will be a double double machine.
Weaknesses: O'Keane has been labeled a cancer. He's not a good teammate, and he commands the ball every time down the floor. Scouts are questioning his long-term potential because of this, as they are worried about his character. He is incredibly turnover prone and does not like passing the ball much either. Defensively, O'Keane can block a few shots but does not put much effort into post defense or help defense. He is strong and can jump, but his effort is lacking.
Overall: Could easily be a 25/10 guy. But will he always be on bad teams? Strength, inside scoring, athleticism, and jumpshot will make him one of the best offensive bigs in the league. Has similar strengths to Zach Randolph (NBA), but is more athletic and can block shots. Don't expect O'Keane to get much better.
