Age: 20
Height: 6'7
Weight: 229lbs
College: West Virginia University
Position: SF
Ratings: C+ B+ C+ C B- A
Wesley was a top 100 recruit coming out of high school in Northern Kentucky, but was even considered the best player in West Virginia's freshman class last year. By the tenth game of the season he was the Moutaineers leading scorer and go-to player. Wesley showed off his versatily by playing three positions and being one of the best shooters in the country. His all around game has improved tremendously and he has developed a nice dribble penetration game. He is a without a doubt a hustle player and because of this he was able to average over 9rpg over his two years at WVU.
Wesley is all around a solid player who still has plenty of room to grow. His bread and butter is obviously his ability to shoot the three ball. He has great range and shoots fantastic percentages. He is slowly developing an inside game and should soon be able to take smaller defenders into the post and bigger defenders off the dribble. Pretty good FT shooter too. He is a decent passer for a SF, and has done a pretty good limiting his TO's.
The biggest knock on Wesley is his D. He will never be a great defender, but should be able to develop into a decent one. He gets some steals because of his ability to anticipate passes. He is a pretty average positional defender. He was never forced to play man-to-man D at West Virginia.
Wesley will be a good player, the question remains how good. He will be a pretty good scorer. He will always be judged by the weakest aspect of his game- his defense. I think give the right situation he could develop into a pretty good defender.
