Monty DuBois is the reigning Big Ten player of the year leading the surprise Nebraska Huskers to the Final Four. Known for his explosiveness to the rim and shutdown defense, DuBois is the two way player that all BBS GM's would love to utilize on the court.
DuBois isn't your stereotypical raw athlete who just jumps over everyone. In fact he is quite the opposite. With excellent speed and strength as well as potent handles he dazzled to the bucket and tries to get to the line. Monty got fouled a lot and his 912 FT percentage showed how strong he was. Monty is a physical specimen who loves to bang and loves to compete. Undeniably, his determination to be the best has glazed the eyes of BBS scouts who have watched him on a regular basis.
However, there are some flaws. Likes to play the game on the ground rather up in the air. His explosive nature comes from his speed and playmaking ability. Has little range past 18 feet. While his midrange is strong his 3pt ability doesn't allow him to be a threat on the perimeter. Plays tough physical defense which makes him prone to fouls.
Overall, solid prospect whose dedication and potential will let him get looks at a top 5 pick.
