Cam Adams
6'7 215 SG--cannot play PG
Louisville
21 years old
Ratings: B- B A C C B
Strengths: Cam Adams is a special talent. The guy is just so smooth on the basketball court. He reminds scouts of Brandon Roy in the way he commands the game so effortlessly, and has talents similar to Tracy McGrady when he was in the prime of his career (NBA). Adams is an unbelievable passer. He has outstanding court vision and is unselfish. He'd happily settle for 10 assists per game over 20 points per game. He can dominate games in a number of different ways, and his passing allows him to do that. He also turns the ball over rarely for someone who has it so often--probably only 1.5 to 2.0 times a game. Besides his tremendous passing, Adams stardom also comes from the fact that he is supremely athletic. He is a great jumper and is pretty quick. Offensively, Adams has all of the tools to be a 20 ppg scorer. He is a strong mid range shooter and can hit the occasional three point shot.
Weaknesses: There is one downside to Adams: he cannot play point guard. The game won't allow it, so he can't. Other than that, Adams' problems are all fixable. He's a mediocre defender but he isn't abysmal. He is an average perimeter defender and will probably get a little over 1 steal per game. His drive defense sucks, but who cares. He is only an average rebounder and needs to get stronger. He also could stand to work on some post moves.
Overall: Should be an outstanding player, and a new type of SG. maybe a B+ B+ A B- C C type guy. Cool player. Top 3 pick.
