1) Washington Wizards - Marquell Rodgers PF 6'10'' 245 18 B- C- B- B- C+ A
The Wizards are horrible and they don't need to rush by selecting a developed player. They would be far better off selecting a raw talent and Rodgers, at age 18, is as raw as they come. He is incredible versatile and looks like a legitimate franchise player if he has any sort of potential.
2) Denver Nuggets - Stephen Flint PF 6'11'' 229 22 B D D B+ C+ A
Another team with no reason to rush are the Nuggets and that's why they swallow the two year pill of having Flint serve his naval duty. They have three solid first round picks next year and can build a dynasty slowly if they make the right picks. Rarely do players who have a waiting period end up becoming busts and Flint looks like he's worth the wait.
3) Utah Jazz - Vince McCracken SG 6'5'' 203 20 B+ C+ C C+ C A
Simply put, McCracken isn't the best fit with Kyrie Irving, but I don't think that Scott is gutsy enough to pass on the last player mentioned by Spencer to go top-3. McCracken looks like he could become an inside/out player in time and whoever picks third will take the leftover player of Rodgers, Flint and McCracken. Hardly ideal, but a reality of drafts.
4) Detroit Pistons - Arnez Tuttle SG 6'8'' 225 20 C+ C+ C C+ C+ A
The Pistons are set at PG with Derrick and have a nice piece with Harris up front. Tuttle looks like he's raw and can play multiple position. Andy is known to take risks and Tuttle looks like the sort of player you hope explodes into something special.
5) Indiana Pacers - Rick Moore PF 6'11'' 245 21 B C C+ B B B
The Pacers continue to build on their well-rounded team by adding Moore. With Hixon and Walker up front, they stack up their frontcourt by taking a player who fits perfectly with their team and can be a successful sixth man. Moore looks like a sure-fire prospect even if he never improves.
6) San Antonio Spurs - Akai Johnson SF 6'8'' 220 20 B+ C C- B- C+ A
The Spurs have a big hole when it comes to SG/SF and Johnson adds some explosiveness to the team. Johnson does a bit of everything and won't have the burden of being a prolific scorer with Dickerson in the fold. With Rondo for one more year, the Spurs don't need to rush drafting a point guard and can go with the young and talented Johnson.
7) Dallas Mavericks - Bobby Burns PG 6'2'' 195 21 C+ B- B B- C A
The Seth Curry experiment ends here. The Mavs decide to cut and run and select Burns who after one TC will likely be able to take the reigns. Curry will move to an SG/PG backup role that he is more suited for. With some young prospects at SG/SF and Bunn emerging last TC, Burns is the missing piece to put it all together in Dallas.
8) New Orleans Hornets - Alex Jackson PG 6'5'' 208 21 B+ C B C+ C A
With an inside-oriented offense, the Hornets look to Jackson to tie it all together with George Hall and Rakeem Christmas. With wing prospects like Roberson, Overgaard and Lovell selected last year and Milankovic waiting in the wings at PG, Jackson may keep him waiting. Boom or bust pick.
9) Los Angeles Clippers - Ryan Edison SF 6'9'' 231 23 B- B+ B- C B- B
The Clippers have established talent with Jonas Valenciunas and judging by Knight's TC, he will be good to go next season as a huge up and comer. The Clippers play it safe and select Edison, who can bring it inside and out. The Clippers don't have their pick next year, so their goal is to win and Edison will help that process.
10) Milwaukee Bucks - Terrell Devereaux PG 6'2'' 183 24 B- B B- A- C+ C
The Bucks take the polished Devereaux. Next year is the Bucks time to shine and Devereaux will fit very well with the well-roundedness and toughness of the Bucks. Devereaux doesn't have notes, but has can't-miss ratings. He may be the surprise top-10 pick of the draft.
11) Cleveland Cavaliers - Andryunas Raskauskas C 7'2'' 275 21 B C+ C C+ C+ B
The Cavs have a solid array of balanced talent and Raskauskas adds to that core by bringing a ton of positives to the team immediately. He is the perfect compliment to Kevin Love and the Cavs are thrilled to see that he is still on the board at 11. Raskauskas is already polished and ready to contribute.
12) Denver Nuggets - Kent Caldwell C 7'8'' 274 20 C- D- C+ B B A
Denver's on the board again and they get creative with this pick, selecting the giant anomaly in Caldwell. He'll get all of the intangibles that he brings, including passing, blocking and rebounding, to help add some much needed size to this small Nuggets squad. A risky pick due to the lack of offensive output, but the Nuggets need what he brings.
13) Orlando Magic - Tyrone Keane PF 7'0'' 245 19 C B C B C+ A
Keene is a perfect fit in Orlando. His outside-oriented style will mesh well with Reynolds and they can afford to wait and see how he develops. At age 19, Keane looks like he could be a Dirk Nowitzki-type player or at worst, a Bargnani-type player. If he's still on the board at 13, expect the Magic to snag him.
