Franz Reinhart
Height: 7'
Weight: 231 lbs
Age: 19
Position: F
College: Germany
Ratings: B- B C C+ B- A
Career to this point:
Reinhart has been playing professionally in German for more than two years now. He has been starring for Alba Berlin since he was 17. He has experience playing internationally as well. He cut his teeth with the German National team at the 2018 FIBA World Championships. He really made a name for himself while averaging 18ppg and 9rpg. His best performance came against a strong Spanish team. Reinhart racked up 32 points, and looked like a superstar scoring from the inside and stepping back behind the three point line.
Pros:
The thing that will make Reinhart a star is his scoring. He can score inside and out and at 7' tall he is a matchup problem for just about any player. His range extends beyond the three point line, and he has no problem banging down low. He is a good rebounder, especially defensively. His man-to-man defense is passable, and he won't get lit up too often. The thing that really stands out about Reinhart are his skills. He is just such a fundamentally sound basketball player. He rarely makes mistakes and shoots high percentages.
Cons:
The one knock on Reinhart is his athleticism. He does not jump very well and isn't particulary fast. He will never block shots or get steals. This will turn a lot of teams off. Besides his athleticism not much bad can be said about the guy.
Overall:
Reinhart is an interesting player, he will no doubt be a very good player in the this league. The big problem is that right now the league is so dominated by blocks/steals that a guy who is crazy efficient and great in almost ever other aspect of the game will get knocked down a little. He should be the #1 overall pick as he has plenty of potential at only 19 years old. His height is great because he can move well enough to play the 3 or the 4. I'd expect at 25-28ppg guy in his prime and probably someone who can grab 10+ rebounds.
