Vaughntavious Reed
Height: 6'9"
Weight: 235
Position: PF
Age: 20
College: Georgia
Bio: Vaughntavious Reed will go down as the best rebounder in college basketball of the last 20 years. The guy is an absolute freak on the boards. He has an incredible knowledge of where to be when rebounds come off the backboard or rim. He is a specialist in that sense and the rest of his game is somewhat raw.
Strengths: In his freshman year, Reed averaged 13.4 rpg and as a sophomore, he averaged 15.8 rpg. His nickname is "Windex" because he cleans the glass far better than anyone in college basketball. He is especially good on the offensive end at getting second chance opportunities. As for the rest of his skills, he is exceptionally fast and uses his speed to get into position for rebounds. His jump shot is improving, but he has no business shooting a three pointer. His post defense is starting to become more polished, but don't look for him to block or steal much. Reed is also a decent passer - not studly, but definitely not a black hole on offense.
Weaknesses: While Reed is fast, he's not the greatest leaper or the strongest guy. He can't shoot threes and he's also a poor dribbler. He has the speed to be a small forward, but lacks the ball-handling skills or perimeter defense capabilities. Reed is not a great scorer and most of his baskets will come on second chance opportunities.
Outlook: Reed is an elite rebounder and whoever drafts him knows what they are getting. How much he develops is a mystery, but he's young and has a solid basketball IQ and an unteachable nose for the ball.
