1) Detroit Pistons - David Walker - PF 6'11'' 235 19 A- C C- B C+ A
Walker has been labeled the obvious number one choice for the draft. There is no reason to see why the Pistons wouldn’t take him. The Pistons have acquired youthful big men Damontre Harris and Li Guo Wang in their rebuilding process, but neither looks to be a longterm answer like Walker. Walker will be a starter from day one and hopefully be a better scorer from the start than apparent bust Guo Wang.
2) New Jersey Nets – Jackson Roberson SF 6'10'' 225 22 B- B- C B- C A
The Nets said that they don’t like Rollins in the other mock so I can’t give them him with this pick. Roberson is a great piece to start their rebuild with. It looks like he can play three positions which will give them flexibility in the future. I would want to keep him at SF though. The guy has great notes and while he may not be a future #1 option, he should at least be able to put up 20 a night.
3) Indiana Pacers - Jarrett Jordan SF 6'8'' 223 19 C B C+ B C A
The Pacers need frontcourt help here. However, I don’t think any of the big men are worthy of a top three pick. Reaching for a big man would be an unwise move in my opinion. Jarrett Jordan is a legit SF, something Indiana lacks, and a fit in what could develop into a nice outside offense. I don’t think Jordan is the third best player in the draft, but Jordan is the best compromise the Pacers can make.
4) L.A. Clippers – Ben Rollins SG 6’5 200 20 A- C+ C- C+ C A
The Clippers are in a great position to take whoever they want. Ben Rollins is a bit of a steal here. The Clippers really only have one other piece for the longterm in Jonas. Because of this, I would want to take a guy who has the potential to play more than one position down the road. Rollins is definitely not that. However, he will be a great player in this league and could potentially give the Clippers two guys worth of being a #1 option.
5) Milwaukee Bucks - Mitchell Jordan SG 6'6'' 217 22 B+ B- C- C C- A
The Bucks would ideally draft a big here. I don’t see one worthy of the 5 spot, but reaching for Daryl Saunders wouldn’t be a terrible move. The only problem with that is Broph prefers shotblockers and Saunders does not appear to be one. Therefore, he will take the best player available and in my opinion that is Jordan.
6) Cleveland Cavs - Soren Overgaard SF 6'9'' 230 19 C B- C- C+ C A
I’m really not sure what the Cavs are trying to do. Overgaard sounds like he could be a stud. Someone is going to reach for him between 6 and 8 in my opinion. Also, he’d instantly be one of the Cavs top defenders.
7) Charlotte Bobcats (from Portland Trailblazers)- Jacquez Knight PG 6'3'' 192 19 B- C+ B- C+ C A
Knight could be the eventual replacement to the Bobcat’s current PG turned SG in Shannon Brown. He does have turnover concerns but those should not be a problem at SG.
8) Atlanta Hawks- Jarek Milankovic PG 6'1'' 185 22 C A- B- C+ D A
The Hawks could need a lot of help next season since Bogut will be 32 and Honeycutt as well as Derrick could walk in FA. At this point, I don’t see how Derrick will be back which will really hurt the team. Drafting Milankovic will give them an instant replacement if they don’t want to let Evans play PG.
9) New Jersey Nets (from Golden State Warriors) Daryl Saunders PF 6'8'' 255 20 B- C+ D+ C+ B- A
The Nets need to accumulate as many prospects as they can to get this team back on track. Saunders is a safe pick at this point and possibly a steal in some people’s eyes. He will be a nice fit that may be interchangeable with their previous pick Jackson Roberson at the forward positions.
10) Milwaukee Bucks (from Oklahoma City Thunder)- Jarret Ellis C 7'1'' 225 19 C+ D C- A- C A
Ellis is already an elite shotblocker and that is something that the Bucks would love to add. Even if Ellis doesn’t give them much outside of defense and rebounding (hopefully), he will be a nice fit for a team already with a lot of pieces and a lot of scoring in place.
11) Utah Jazz - Dewayne Hardy SG 6'6'' 190 21 B- B C- C D+ A
It appears that the Jazz are going to have a difficult time tanking with Kyrie Irving on the roster. Hardy looks like he will be a nice SG that will be an option scorer in his prime. He won’t be an instant impact guy, but he will be a nice starter for the Jazz in two or three seasons. He won't help the Jazz out too much next year so they can continue to tank and should be a nice compliment to Irving in the future.
12) San Antonio Spurs - Tristan Wesley SF 6'7'' 215 23 B A- C C+ C B
Jah has been doing everything he can to tank this year. I think the Spurs need to try and add some talent with this pick and compete next year. Wesley is a guy who will be able to come in right away and give the Spurs at least what Ricky Roe is giving the Celtics this season. With Dickerson stepping his game up, the Spurs could be a nice team next year.
13) Washington Wizards- Von Carter C 7'0'' 215 19 C+ D+ D+ B- C+ A
The Wizards do not have a lot of pieces to build a contender with. Therefore, they should gamble with this pick. I don't like Carter and feel that he is big gamble but it is a move the Wizards should make in hopes of turning things around. Carter could turn out to be a real steal.
