2017 BBS Draft Notes
David Walker looks to be the sure fire #1 pick in this draft. Walker is a very good inside scorer even at 19 years old. He has great low post moves and a solid jump shot out to 12 feet. He is a decent shot blocker and okay rebounder. He is athletic, but not especially strong. Walker is only 19 and has tons of room for growth. He should be a 1st option type one day which is always nice from your power forward.

Jarret Ellis C 7'1'' 225 19 C+ D C- A- C A… Great shot blocker. Elite right now. Not much of a rebounder or offensive player. Not very strong. Pretty good athlete.
Von Carter C 7'0'' 215 19 C+ D+ D+ B- C+ A… Extremely raw. Strong for his weight. Not overly athletic. Pretty unimpressive basketball skills.
Andrew Nielsen C 7'3'' 290 21 B- C+ C- B+ C B… Very good inside scorer with great midrange game and free throw ability. Very good post defender that will block some shots. Not very strong and a pretty bad rebounder. Very slow, and cant jump.
Damian Drake C 6'11'' 240 22 C+ C+ D+ B C+ B… Big man with a jump shot. Range goes beyond the 3 point line. Extremely strong. Can also block shots. Good offensive rebounder.
Alf Sjoberg C 7'0'' 290 19 B- C+ D+ C A- B… Great rebounder. Extremely strong. Amazing FT shooter. Really limits turnovers. Will get some blocks. Not athletic at all.
Power Forwards…
Daryl Saunders PF 6'8'' 255 20 B- C+ D+ C+ B- A... Strong undersized PF. Very good post game with a great midrange game. Great FT shooter. Solid rebounder. Good man to man defender.
Lorenzo Bunn PF 6'9'' 237 22 B+ C C C+ C B… Big time leaper. Helps him score inside and block shots. Post game is ok, but his leaping is where most of his B+ comes from. Post defense is pretty bad. Not much of a rebounder. Might have some turnover issues.
Small Forwards…
Jarrett Jordan SF 6'8'' 223 19 C B C+ B C A... Very good midrange game. Nice athlete, pretty strong. Not much of an inside game though. Will get some steals and blocks. Smart ball handler, will limit turnovers. Very good defensive rebounder.
Jackson Roberson SF 6'10'' 225 22 B- B- C B- C A… Great frame for a SF. Solid athlete. Nice jump shot. Range to 3 point line is inconsistent. Will get some steals, maybe even some blocks. Decent rebounder. Nice upside.
Tristan Wesley SF 6'7'' 215 23 B A- C C+ C B… BBS ready scorer. Great midrange and long range shooter. Has some post game as well. Decent athlete, but not great. Defense is pretty mediocre and might never get better. Upside is limited.
Soren Overgaard SF 6'9'' 230 19 C B- C- C+ C A… Very raw. Big upside. Can get blocks and steals. Poor man to man defender. Good jump shot. Not overly athletic.
Shooting Guards…
Ben Rollins SG 6'5'' 200 20 A- C+ C- C+ C A… Very good scorer. Loves to jump. Can really get to the basket. Great in between game. Athletic and strong. Good rebounder. 3 point shot is poor. Not a passer. Probable top 3/5 pick.
Mitchell Jordan SG 6'6'' 217 22 B+ B- C- C C- A… Very good athlete with a nice inside game. Strong for a guard. Good leaper. Mediocre FT shooter. Solid 3 point shot. Will block some shots at SG. Poor man to man defender.
Dewayne Hardy SG 6'6'' 190 21 B- B C- C D+ A… Solid offensive player who has a nice jump shot. Range out beyond the 3 point line. Good athlete. Will get a good amount of steals. Some handling issues. Weak rebounder and defender.
Marko Murray SG 6'3'' 210 22 C+ A C+ C C- B… Amazing shooter. Great midrange game and a deadly 3 point shooter. Not athletic at all. Mostly a spot up shooter. Will have some TO issues so he shouldn’t play much PG at all. Poor defender.
Barret Barker SG 6'4'' 215 22 C+ B+ C- B C B… Amazing midrange game and free throw shooter. Decent athlete. Takes good care of the basketball. Very good man to man defender. Not much of a passer. 3 point shot is only mediocre.
Alex Lovell SG 6'5'' 200 19 C C+ C+ B- C A… Extremely raw. Decent jump shot. Great athlete. Solid ball handler. Decent defender to start. Cant play PG.
Point Guards…
Jacquez Knight PG 6'3'' 192 19 B- C+ B- C+ C A… College point that may be a combo guard in the pros. Handling issues. Solid scorer. Volume shooter. Always goes for steals. Solid rebounder for size.
Jarek Milankovic PG 6'1'' 185 22 C A- B- C+ D A… Very good midrange game with range out to the 3 point line. Handles the ball well and is a decent passer. Not overly athletic. Decent man to man defender that will get some steals. Poor rebounder.
J.L. Lacroix PG 6'2'' 185 21 B- C B- C C A… Lacroix is a very efficient PG. He scores well from mid range and inside. Not much of a 3 point shot. Solid handles, mediocre passer. Defense is poor. Good rebounder for his size.
Trenton Bailey PG 6'3'' 188 20 C B B A- C B… Very good athlete. Can run and jump quite well for a PG. Will get a ton of steals. Great midrange game. Very willing passer, but might have some turnover issues. Good rebounder for a PG.
Cris Kemp PG 5'6'' 168 22 C B- C B C- A… Should be a solid backup PG. Nice jump shot. Some range on his shot. Pesky defender.Pretty good man to man defender that will also get steals. Not much of a passer. Also has some handling issues.
Bobby Humphries PG 6'4'' 202 22 C C A- C C B… Great passer. Love to find open teammates. Might have some turnover issues. The rest of his game is pretty mediocre. Backup PG.
