Age: 22
Position: PF
Height: 6'11"
Weight: 229
College: Navy
Draft Ratings: B D D B+ C+ A
Flint was a latebloomer, hitting a late growth spurt his sophomore year and not showing up on draft scouts radars til his senior year at Navy. Navy has offered to waive 3 of the years of his required service if Flint is drafted, however, he will have to serve two seasons before he is allowed to join his drafting team.
Breakdown:
Inside: Flint shows nice strength, and solid post moves, and is a pretty impressive athlete for 6'11" He isnt going to overwhelm in anyway, but he is pretty good all around.
Outside: Flint really wasnt a very impressive shooter in high school as it was, so his size growth helps him out a lot, as he wouldnt even be considered with his poor poor outside game. He is a sub par 3 free throw shooter and has no three point game at all.
Handles: Flint was a guard in high school, and it wasnt til he went to Navy before he grew into his 6'11 size. In his growth, he still retained his impressive quickness. He does struggle with his handles from time to time but it will be pretty manageable. He isnt a good passer at all.
Defense: Flint is an excellent positional defender, but just an average at best shotblocker. His defensive skills are helped by his great quickness, and he can even guard many small forwards and some shooting guards. He doesnt steal at all.
Rebounding: Flint is just average at rebounding, though he shows a bit more skill on the offensive glass than defensively. His quickness helps him for sure, but, he just doesnt have a great knack for finding the ball.
Potential: if Flint was able to join his team now, he would probably be a top 5 pick. However, he wont be able to join his team until he is 24, which will scare some teams off. Teams drafting him will get a very impressive big man, who is actually pretty raw despite his age since he has only been a big man for a few seasons, though he has some glaring holes. Its questionable how the two years away from regular basketball training will effect him.
Best Case Scenario:
A- D+ D+ A B+
More Likely:
