The Bayou Bully as they call him in Baton Rouge, J.L Lacroix has declared his intentions for the BBS 2017 draft. Originally from Quebec City, QC, Lacroix was a highly touted prospect out of Canada who choose to travel far from home and take his highly touted skills down South as he felt "at home" in Cajun Country.
Lacroix is best known for his tenacity and anger. He loves to get in your face and talk shit. While most in the NCAA hate his up in your face personality and stone like attitude he gained much respect for his hard work.
Lacroix loves to drive and he will let you know as well. Never since Pistol Pete Maravich has LSU seen someone with such exquisite ball handling and passing abilities. He has premier inside abilities and doesn't afraid to get dirty. Loves to dish and has excellent speed. Loves to take over a game and makes all his teammates around him better.
If there is a downside to Lacroix is his lack of outside game. His 3pt shot is one of the poorest in the SEC this year and often gets into trouble when opposing defenses play zone. His defense is not ideal but his speed allows for the occasional steal or two. Lacroix shows much visible emotion on the court and sometimes his frustration can get the better of him.
Lacroix might not be the ideal PG for the BBS GM's but his toughness and tenacity on the court and in the locker room should intrigue others and push him up on some teams boards on draft day. Should eventually be a solid PG in BBS.
