La'Shon Lesser
6'1 170
PG
Rutgers Universty
22 years old
Ratings: B C- B+ B+ D B
Strengths: La'Shon lesser is every coaches favorite point guard, He will never be a star in this league, but he will be a starting point guard for a long time. Larry Brown would jizz in his pants if he had this guy. Lesser is an extremely tough player who walked onto Rutgers as a freshman. Now, four years later, he is the all-time assist and steals leader at the school. This guy will do anything to win and has played through injuries to help his team.
He is a defensive pest. He'll be an all-defensive first or second teamer in the future and is a great defender now. He'll get about 1.5 steals per game right now in the league, and is a sensational perimiter defender. Really--he is a shut down defender. As a point guard, he is missing nothing. Lesser is lightning quick and rarely turns the ball over. He is a developing passer who should average close to 10 assists a game after a couple of seasons in the NBA. Lesser is also a good finisher, who uses his speed to get to the basket at will.
Weaknesses: Lesser's one weakness is obvious: his shot. He cannot shoot and he will never be able to shoot. He has absolutely no range from three point land, and is only a mediocre mid range and free throw shooter. This is what sets Lesser apart from being an elite point guard. If he had a 3, he'd be a top three pick. Aside from his shooting limitations, Lesser lacks the strength of some of his other point guard counterparts but makes up for it in toughness. Lesser is also a bad rebounder.
Overall: Any team who need a point guard should take Lesser and shouldn't look back. Low to's, superb positional defense. Should be a B+/C-/A/A/D guy in his prime.
