Ricky Roe
Height: 6'9
Weight: 226
Position: SF
Age: 21
College: Western University
Ratings: B- A- B- C C B
Pros: Roe is a great shooter, probably one of the best we've ever seen out of college. He has one of the best 15-18 foot jumpers college basketball has ever seen. He's also able to step back and shoot the three with great consistency. He should be over 90% every year from the free throw line as well. He can also post up smaller players in the paint. He's got very good post moves for a young player. Roe is also a great passer. Most of the offense of Western University was run through him.
Cons: The biggest knock on Roe is his athleticism. He has bad knees and he's pretty slow defensively. He's not going to get any blocks at all. I think he'll struggle to ever be more than a below average defender. He's just not that athlete that many of todays players are. He's slow, can't really jump and is a generally bad positional defender.
Overall: Roe is a bit of an interesting prospect. Despite his age, he probably will reach his peak early. His knees will not last forever. The biggest knock on him is his athleticism and his defense. They will never really improve. He should be a great scorer who shoots fanstic percentages though. He has a bit of a TO problem due to the fact that he does not have the quickness to always protect the ball. He is however able to get some steals because he is such a smart player. I think he'll be a borderline All-Star at his peak.
